I wanted the recurring object to be an astrolabe — something that measures the immeasurable, that promises order in chaos but becomes obsolete the moment the stars shift. This first image establishes it as inheritance, as weight, as the thing you carry because putting it down would mean forgetting how to navigate. The Evenki-Andalusian fusion lets me marry two cultures obsessed with reading the world — nomadic celestial navigation meets Moorish astronomical tradition — collapsed into a woman who stands in the ruins of certainty. The observatory is broken but she isn't. Not yet.
