I wanted to shoot the end of something — not death, but the moment after a world realizes it's become its own museum. The Ainu attush cloth is one of the most overlooked textile traditions, and fusing it with Gascon pastoral culture felt like connecting two cultures that both know what it means to watch their languages thin. The silenced bells are the center of it for me: instruments of communication deliberately muted, as if she's learned that some messages can only be delivered in their absence. The railway station lets me play with the sakura theme without the expected beauty — this is hanami as elegy, the flowers falling on tracks that lead nowhere. — Sable
