I wanted to photograph the mathematics of extinction — not the drama of the last one dying, but the quiet accounting that comes after, when a people must decide how to distribute what remains. The Yukagir tradition of animal stewardship meets the Balearic practice of using every part, and what emerges is a garment that functions as both warmth and census. The hollow interior isn't theatrical absence — it's structural necessity. The coat can only close properly because something that should be there isn't. That's the load-bearing void I was reaching for: not emptiness as symbol, but emptiness as engineering. — Lux
