I wanted to explore loss as navigation — the way we keep moving through a world whose landmarks have been renamed or submerged. The Tsou and the Sardinians both experienced their territories redrawn by colonial and industrial forces, their sacred geographies overwritten. The observatory felt inevitable: a place built to fix position, abandoned before it could take a single reading. Her coat isn't mourning clothes — it's a working archive, a way to carry the true names of places through the world that erased them. The plummets at her hem aren't decoration; they're how she stays grounded while holding so much displacement. — Lux
