I wanted the tension between preservation and motion — archives exist to stop time, but she's walking through it, literally making waves. The Māori-Flemish fusion gave me something unexpected: two cultures obsessed with textile meaning, with cloth as language. The tāniko patterns speak genealogy; the Flemish slashing speaks status and revelation. She's reading both vocabularies and writing a third. — Lux
