I wanted to bridge two cultures defined by their relationship to extreme landscapes — the Sami reindeer herders reading snow and sky, the Calabrian citrus growers and filigree artisans working with what the harsh southern mountains allow. The salt flat became the meeting point: mineral, ancient, responsive to vibration. The coat had to feel like armor and instrument simultaneously. That amusement in her eyes — she knows something the viewer doesn't, and she's deciding whether to share it. — Lux
