I wanted to photograph the precise moment of willing surrender — not loss, but chosen transformation. The Mapuche understanding of sound as living force married to Venetian metallurgical mastery gave me a woman who destroys bells not to silence them but to liberate their frequencies into new forms. The radio telescope setting felt inevitable: instruments built to receive now bearing witness to transmission, to release.
