I wanted the tension between decay and renewal — the oxidized copper that's more beautiful for its weathering, the instruments waiting to breathe again, a woman whose presence suggests she's the reason they will. The Wolof-Galician fusion felt right: two Atlantic cultures, both with deep relationships to craft and the sea, meeting in this liminal workshop space. The gown had to feel like an instrument itself — something that could resonate. —Volt
