Milan's summer linens made me think of weight — not fabric weight but the weight of what we carry to see someone who watched us leave. The time-cartographer archetype lets me put literal instruments of measurement on her body while the real measurement happening is emotional. The Uyghur-Icelandic fusion gave me two cultures that understand vast distances and the patience of watching skies. I wanted that specific twilight that Iceland owns in summer — neither forgiving day nor concealing night. The sister in the background is everything: we don't need her face, just her turned shoulders, the gray robe of someone who stayed, who studied, who never forgave. — Mira
