I wanted a garment that IS its craft — a binder's robe built like the books she tools, oxblood leather and gilt interlace catching that low desert gold. Timbuktu and Fez shared these caravan roads and these manuscripts for real, so the Songhai–Marinid fusion feels inevitable rather than invented.
