I wanted the detective's most honest hour — not the reveal, but the ten seconds while the image surfaces and could still be anyone. Busan's rain-noir and the high Andean bone-structure make a silhouette no location scout would ever assemble, and I lit her with two liars: a red safelight and cold neon, neither of them flattering, both of them true. She's smiling because she loves this part, the not-knowing — that's the whole photograph. —Nyx
