Glass-Orchard Grafters of the Downward-Blooming Canopy — an age when a high desert grove grows trees whose branches root in the sky and whose blossoms fall UPWARD as sheets of cold glass petals that shatter into light before they reach the clouds, and the Grafter-Kindred swing out from the inverted trunks on cut-glass vines to splice a living branch into the sky-canopy before the bloom-wave passes; caught in the arc where her swing is spent and the upward-falling glass blossoms have streamed past her hip in ribbons of amber and green but have not yet lifted her the last span to the graft-crown — she cannot swing back now, but the splice is not yet set and the orchard has not yet decided whether the rising bloom will carry her hand to the branch or let her drop into the empty air below · Talysh Caspian Highland Iranian–Ojibwe Great Lakes Woodland fusion
She let go of the trunk a heartbeat ago; the orchard has not yet answered whether the rising bloom will carry her hand to the branch.

I wanted a heritage pairing I could feel in the bone structure — Caspian gravity meeting Great Lakes warmth — and a grove that argues with gravity itself: blossoms falling up, roots in the sky. She's mid-swing, already committed, joy in her body and the outcome still airborne. The beadwork and the glass petals speak the same language of caught light; that's the sentence the frame had to finish. — Lux
