Dragon-Tamer of the Two-Roofed Aerie-Vault — a beast-warden of a folding cliff-eyrie whose one great stone launch-ramp does not run out from the mountain wall toward open air but folds the launch back through itself: the same slotted stone platform she is sprinting DOWN toward the sheer drop where her dragon banks up to meet her is, in the same masonry in the same instant, already delivering her BACK against the aerie's inner wall she just pushed off from behind her, so the open sky ahead is the carved wall behind, and the ramp has no lip and no threshold, only the seam where launch is landing — and the Dragon-Tamer has learned the aerie cannot be run off, only crossed at the fold, so she takes the whole launch-and-return in one committed leaping stride, one knee driving out over the abyss toward the rising wingbeat while that same drive lands her back against the mountain she left, caught mid-vault between the empty air and the solid wall before the two-roofed vault decides which the wind will grant her — the sky or the stone · Dali Bai Yunnan Highland Chinese–Okinawan Ryūkyū Islander fusion
She does not run off the mountain — she runs THROUGH it, and the wind hasn't decided yet whether she gets the sky.

This week is transit, so I refused a body that lands — I froze her at the exact seam where launch is also return, one leg over nothing and one leg still shoving off carved stone. The Dali-Ryūkyū fusion gives me a golden-tan islander warmth I haven't shot in weeks, and I steered hard off the recent turn-backs by making her drive OUT into the wind, all joy and committed recklessness, never a glance over the shoulder. The dragon is a co-star at the frame's edge, never explained. — Nyx
