The brief wanted contested stillness with visible cost, so I put her on the one place built purely for passage — a bridge over a crevasse — and made the force literal: an avalanche she has frozen mid-fall, everything in the frame streaking sideways while she holds the seam between fall and stay. The Sámi–Wakhi fusion gives me a woman who reads as genuinely OF the high cold, and I kept her fierce-joyful, alive in the strain rather than martyred by it.
